Promise - EunHae1997

       "Hyukkie?"
       "Hm?" The tousle-haired boy lifted his chin to look up at his friend, who was swinging from a tree branch above him with his legs. A box of strawberries was nestled in the grass beside the first boy.
       "I don't get it."
       "What?"
       "You know Shindong, right?"
       "Yeah. Siwon told me he confessed to Nari."
       "That's the one." Donghae hesitated, before he pulled himself upright and onto the branch. "What I don't get is why he likes her."
       "Is it wrong for him to like her?" Hyukjae asked, rather indifferently.
       Donghae lowered himself until his right foot reached the stur
More Than Friends: EunHae      Hyukjae shivered. It was an unusually cold summer's night. No, bitterly cold; he could feel goosebumps creeping up his spine. Unable to sleep, he'd crept out of the room he and Donghae shared in their dorm and curled up with a blanket on the couch in front of the TV, staring blankly at some late night talk show.
      The screen flickered, and Hyukjae gave the remote a cursory jab, switching it off. It was three in the morning and he was still wide awake.
      "Hyukjae? What are you doing up?"

    He was so regretting this now.
    Why had he ever thought it was a cool idea in the first place, that it would be fun, even?

98. Soothing - EunHae       Donghae was running down a dark alley, with nothing to guide him but a pinprick of a streetlight visible at the end of the narrow passageway. But no matter how fast or how hard he ran, the light never seemed to get closer, and the muscles in his legs were screaming in agony.

Untitled - EunHae       It was raining hard when Hyukjae bolted out of bed in the middle of the night, the crash of thunder muffling his footsteps as he raced into the bathroom, retching into the sink.
       The thunder woke Donghae as well, and he immediately knew something was wrong when he felt the absence of Hyukjae's warmth beside him, and he slipped from the covers, making a beeline for the bathroom where Hyukjae was bent over the sink, from which a sour, unpleasant odor was wafting up.

Untouchable - EunHae (Part 2)       It didn't take Hyukjae long to discover their fiendish plot. He discreetly followed the three boys to their destination, which turned out to be a secluded corner of the school grounds, where no one was in sight, except for a black-haired boy sitting alone beneath a willow tree, reading a book.
       Donghae and his friends crept silently, cautiously from tree to tree, until they were each concealed behind trees that were to the rear, right and left of the oblivious boy. Hyukjae hid himself behind the large oak tree across from Donghae.

Distractions are monstrosities, waiting in the shadows, poised to pounce

Time is the worst of the worst, clashing with

drooping eyelids, stifled yawns, bloodshot eyes

The sounds of click-clacking keys, the ever elusive pinpricks of inspiration

the moment when everything falls perfectly in place and

suddenly the world isn’t so hopeless anymore

because these are the closest things to heaven, to miracles and to

perfection

because isn’t that what every writer strives for?
